The Abandoned Lab Year 3-4 Drama Workshop @ ATYP
There is an old abandoned science lab at the edge of town. Only the biggest daredevils go in there. You and your friends sneak in one afternoon and find some old potions, scientific equipment and one giant shiny laser. Of course, someone switches the laser on and before you know it you have all been shrunk to the size of ants! Discovering the world from this new height is so much fun, but you are a long, LONG way from home. Get ready to set out on an adventure through a new world, meet crazy creatures as you try and make it back home and back to your regular size. Spend the week learning story-telling skills, developing characters and create a show for your family and friends that will have them on the edge of their seat.
The Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) is the national youth theatre company. In addition to presenting award-winning performances featuring talented young people, they also offer high quality drama classes throughout the year, including the school holidays.
In the ATYP school holiday drama workshops, young people from Kindergarten to Year 12 will make new friends, learn about performing, gain confidence and most importantly have a ton of fun in a safe and inspiring environment.
In the upcoming Sept/Oct 2020 school holidays younger (K-6) participants can solve a mystery at the zoo, save a show from imminent disaster or delve into one of our award winning scripts to create their own production. Older students can deep dive into short film making, Shakespeare or sharpening their audition techniques.
And there’s so much more to discover – just jump on the ATYP website.
They are delighted to be offering face to face classes again at our conveniently located workshops for young people based in Sydney. ATYP offers before and after class care for kids in K-6 and is a COVID safe business.
So don’t hesitate! Early bird discounts are available until 14 September and ATYP is a registered NSW Creative Kids provider. They can’t wait to see you during the holidays for some drama inspired fun.
