Dear Delicious Cafe, Dulwich Hill

Dear Delicious is a favourite local cafe with great coffee but also some amazing food. The menu is constantly changing and so much of their produce is from their own garden! They are fully licensed. We popped into Dear Delicious for lunch recently as we hadn’t been there in a while and it’s still as good as ever!

The cafe itself is lovely and the outdoor area always amazes us, it’s always so well looked after and it’s nice to sit in the sun and eat lunch in the middle of winter! its the perfect place for kids too as they can wander around without disrupting anyone!

The food was well… delicious! I will admit that I was a bit perplexed as to what to order this time when I first looked at the menu, but once I read into it all these options starting jumping out at me and I couldn’t decide what to order! We wanted to keep it light and healthy for this meal so we chose the right cafe!

We ended up choosing the ‘ “Dreamlike” Dear Chicken Salad’ ($17.95) it comes with a freshly brewed berry vinaigrette and it was one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten, if I could make a salad taste that good when I made it I would be eating one for every meal! We also had the ‘Avocado Heaven’ ($17.95) and it was heaven! Two perfectly poached eggs sitting on top some seriously yummy green goodness, activated seeds and goats cheese.

Kids options are limited but include an egg on toast breakfast option, a burger or fish and chips. Kids meals are priced from $8.95. We had no trouble keeping them happy from this or the selections from the main menu.

Drinks are a difficult choice too as the drinks menu is huge! Little Marionette coffee, Southern Lights Teas and there are also some house brewed teas. There are juices a-plenty with raw blends and cold pressed juices. Milkshakes are also on offer as are cocktails if it’s cocktail hour or beer from Batch Brewing Co.

If it’s desert you’re after they have some wonderful choices, gluten free options are available as are a few relatively healthy choices!

We loved our visit, it’s so refreshing to eat out and be able to make some seriously healthy choices – we felt like we were doing ourselves a favour! This is a great option for taking the kids or for a mothers group coffee date.
